The youngest of these patients – an eight-month-old baby – came to us in an acute condition: with a temperature of 39 degrees. The child was lethargic, did not eat anything. Mom suspected that it was a boil.

And there was an interesting incident with another kid.

The mother complained that the 10-month-old child has a fever, refuses to eat and drink.

The initial examination was difficult because the child did not want to open his mouth. However, our children’s dentist, Olena Viktorivna Horova, managed to notice that the baby has severe swelling of the gums, while the area of ​​the gums is of an unusual color. So, an examination under sedation is required.

When examined under sedation, it turned out that a hemisphere from a children’s toy Pop it stuck to the gums in place of one of the future chewing teeth. And this hemisphere managed to get attached to the gums, as if “sucking” the gums into itself.

Denys Vyacheslavovich Valkevich deleted this unfortunate piece of Pop it and the baby and his mother went home almost immediately. By the evening, the child was already feeling great, was eating with appetite, the temperature had passed.
