I want to get implants, but I’m afraid…
And in general, surgery is scary and painful, it’s better to walk without teeth! All this folk art has nothing to do with reality, although an unpleasant residue can leave and add fear and indecision to the patient.
What can actually happen is the disintegration of the implant, although in this case we are talking about an extremely rare event for us, the chances of which are 1-1.5%. An implant implanted in the jaw bone usually does not disintegrate, but sometimes we perform complex surgical interventions for directed tissue regeneration (sinus lifting, reposition of the vascular-nerve bundle, etc.), in the framework of which one-stage implantation is performed. And precisely in these cases, when regeneration does not occur as it should, the implant can disintegrate.
But even in these cases, our surgeons will not worry about this in vain and throw up their hands, but will take all possible measures so that the next attempt ends in success. Such adverse cases are not a reason to install a bridge or removable prosthesis. And after some time, in more favorable anatomical conditions, the implant is installed again. As a result, the second attempt usually ends in success, followed by loading of the crown and further operation.
Importantly! Nobel, Straumann and B&B Dental brand implants in our clinic have a 10-year warranty.
In our clinic, the issue of anesthesia is solved: all possible methods of anesthesia are available, starting from local and ending with full anesthesia with intubation and anesthesia station. That is why we can perform surgical interventions of any complexity without pain, and in the case of sedation and anesthesia, without stress.
