What kind of children’s injuries are we most often referred to and why do they happen?

Perhaps this text will help parents of young children avoid unpleasant events...
What are the most common injuries?
There are two classic early childhood injuries that lead to a dent medical center:
Fracture of the crown parts of the tooth, which is combined with dissection of the lip.
Dissection of the chin area.
How do they happen?
Children at an early age act at the level of reflexes. When they fall (and this happens often), then, as a rule, firstly, they relax, and secondly, they put their hands forward.
Due to the fact that children relax during the fall, after the contact of the body with a hard surface, the head goes forward by inertia, and if there is something in front of it to hit, then the first of two classic injuries is possible.
If a child hits an obstacle (a chair, a furniture handle, the back of a bed, elements of a swing, tree branches, etc.) with their teeth, they often break, with a dissection of the lip.
If there is no obstacle, but the fall occurs on a hard surface: asphalt, tiles, parquet, then the second of the classic injuries is possible. The head also moves forward by inertia, but hits a hard surface with the chin area, due to which the chin is dissected.
How to act in case of such injuries?
Keep calm and contact a pediatric (!) maxillofacial surgeon as soon as possible, for example, Denys Vyacheslavovich Valkevich. He successfully deals with children’s injuries and has a lot of experience in this field.
By the way, if a tooth is broken, there is no need to collect and transport the fragments to the doctors, we will restore the tooth and that’s it.
