Fractures of Facial Skull Bones after Accidents

At the beginning of the year, a patient was brought into our dent medical center with multiple fractures of the facial skull bones after a traffic accident. The operation was urgent, serious and very difficult. In fact, the doctors were collecting pieces of the patient’s face together. They installed 8 titanium plates and 36 screws. Just imagine it!

As a rule, severe maxillofacial injuries have one thing in common: they may require several consecutive surgical interventions. Therefore, during one operation, doctors try to do as much as possible so that corrective operations are the least traumatic for our patients. This is exactly how we acted in this particular case – the surgeons managed to perform complex surgical manipulations within 3 operations.

The surgeries were successful, and the patient’s maxillofacial system functions well. We are happy to help her return to a full life.

The Sirius-Dent team performs a range of complex reconstructive operations after severe injuries. At the same time, we are one of the few dent medica centers in the country that perform reconstructive operations in the maxillofacial area using individually designed titanium structures.

Maxillofacial surgery is one of the key areas of the Sirius Dent Medical Center activity.

Our team takes on the most difficult cases. Surgical operations are performed by the chief doctor of the Sirius Dent Medical Center, Denys Vyacheslavovych Valkevych, who has more than 20 years of practice in performing maxillofacial surgeries.
