Removal of Warthin’s Tumor

Recently, our doctors have performed an operation to remove a benign tumor of the parotid salivary gland, which is also called Whartin’s tumor.

The difficulty of such surgical treatment lies primarily in the complex anatomical localization of Whartin’s tumor being surrounded by an ascending branch of the subclavian vein. The Sirius-Dent surgical team – under the leadership of the dent medical center’s chief physician, a maxillofacial surgeon with more than 20 years of operating experience, Denys Vyacheslavovych Valkevych – was aimed to preserve the parotid salivary gland itself and to remove the tumor in isolation only.

And we succeeded.

The Sirius-Dent team of experts is one of the most experienced in the field of maxillofacial surgery, successfully performing the most complicated surgical interventions.
